Universal Mardi Gras: International Flavors of Carnaval begins February 1, 2025. The Mardi Gras food menus finally appeared. What do we get to enjoy this year?
The Mardi Gras celebration at Universal Orlando Resort has grown from a small event to a full-size food festival with parades and concerts. Universal Mardi Gras: International Flavors of Carnaval runs daily through Sunday, March 30, inviting guests to celebrate 30 years of beads, parades, music, and food. The Mardi Gras concerts happen on select weekend evenings.
Mardi Gras Food at Universal Orlando Resort
Mardi Gras at Universal Orlando Resort involves many flavors of global cuisine, from New Orleans to Puerto Rico and beyond. Guests can venture through Universal Studios Florida and dine on sweet, savory, and spicy dishes, including Hot Maple–Lacquered Salmon from Canada, Spicy Szechuan Chicken Bites from China, and a Colombian Burger.
In addition, guests should expect a massive number of food offerings at Universal Mardi Gras: International Flavors of Carnaval. Of course, Mardi Gras visitors should expect beignets, gumbo, and jambalaya. The food and beverage locations will be found throughout Universal Studios Florida theme park. In addition, Toothsome Chocolate Emporium and Savory Feast Kitchen at Universal CityWalk Orlando will sell a Bayou Pecan Shake.
Universal Orlando Resort Food and Beverage Card
The best way to enjoy this year’s delicious menu is with the purchase of the Universal Orlando Resort Food and Beverage Card, where guests pay $65 for a $75 card. Annual and Seasonal Passholders also receive special savings by purchasing an exclusive $150 card for only $120. These gift cards do not expire. They can be used at almost all food and beverage locations in the theme parks and CityWalk. They cannot be used at the resort hotels.
Universal Orlando 2025 Mardi Gras Food Offerings
Universal Orlando Resort released the food menus for this year’s event on Thursday, January 30, 2025. Traditionally, the food and beverage booths, mostly themed to countries, open at 11:00 a.m. daily. All these Mardi Gras food and beverage locations are found within Universal Studios Florida theme park.
Bites of the Bayou Mardi Gras Food and Beverage Booth
- Baked Cajun Mac & Cheese ($10.99) creamy, spicy cavatappi pasta with andouille sausage, holy trinity and a cajun cream sauce, garnished with scallions
- Chicken & Sausage Gumbo (8.99) Stew of trinity, chicken, andouille, bacon over white rice
- Cajun Spiced Twisted Tater (9.99) Cajun seasoned potato, Creole remoulade sauce, herbs
Canada
- Hot Maple Lacquered Salmon ($14.99) griddled salmon fillet with a maple lacquer and an ancient grain mixed salad
- Margherita Poutine ($10.49) Fresh mozzarella, roasted tomatoes, basil cream and pub fries
China
- Spicy Szechuan Chicken Bites ($11.99) crispy pieces of chicken with white rice, sesame seeds, Szechuan chili crunch
- Duck Xian Bing ($10.99) shredded duck dumpling with Hoisin scallion ginger butter

- Colombian Burger ($10.99) grilled burger with Monterey Jack cheese, pineapple cabbage slaw, cilantro garlic sauce and potato sticks

France (Central Park Crepes)
- Duck a l’orange Crepe ($15.99) freshly made crepes filled with shredded duck, onions, Boursin cheese, orange segments, and an orange slice

- Leberkäse ($10.99) German-style meatloaf served on a pretzel bun with mustard and sauerkraut
- Currywurst & Pommes ($9.99) crispy bratwurst topped with spicy curry ketchup, served with fries and mayo
- Apple Strudel ($4.99) flaky pastry layers wrapped around spiced apple filling
India
- Potato Dosa ($7.99) Griddled dosa filled with curried potatoes, onions, and black mustard seeds, served with a coconut chutney
- Butter Chicken ($10.99) Tender chicken in a spiced tomato butter sauce with Naan bread and cilantro
Italy (Louie’s Italian Restaurant)
- Trapizzini ($10.99) Warm ciabatta, meatball, marinara and spiced parmesan
Mexico (Near Café La Bamba)
- Quesabirria ($10.99) Birria beef in a corn tortilla with Monterey Jack and Oaxaca cheese served with a birria broth
- Chilaquiles Verde ($7.99) Tortillas topped with chile braised shredded chicken, salsa verde, cilantro onion mix with lime crema and Cotija cheese
- Churro Loops ($8.49) Crispy cinnamon sugar loops with dulce de leche and chocolate sauce
Puerto Rico
- Pinchos de Lechon ($10.99) Char-grilled pork shoulder skewer with guava bbq sauce and pan sobao
- Pastelon Fritters ($8.99) Crispy sweet platain and picadillo beef fritters served with mayo ketchup
- Cheese Dog ($9.99) All-beef hot dog with cheddar cheese wrapped in an empanada disc, served with mayo ketchup
