Jeremy and Rhonda give details and their own initial reactions to all of the huge news out of the D23 2024: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event including movies, Disney +, Disney Cruise Line, international park news, and of course, the 4 new lands coming to Walt Disney World.
In one of the most surprising announcements out of D23 this past weekend, Josh D’Amaro informed us that there is not one, not two, not even three, but FOUR new ships coming to Disney Cruise Line by 2031! Plus we get a first look at the new “Disney The Tale of Moana” coming to the Treasure later this year along with the all-new “Hercules” stage show coming to the Destiny.
As excited as we are for the announcements for Walt Disney World which includes Cars, Villains, Monsters Inc., Indiana Jones, and Encanto, we got a lot more news to cover.
While Tropical Americas at Animal Kingdom was one of the most expected announcements for D23, it was good to hear Josh D’Amaro take this Blue Sky idea and make it a reality. Get ready for Indy and Encanto!
In one of the most surprising announcements at this past Saturday’s D23 Parks and Experiences showcase, Josh D’Amaro shared that a Monsters Inc. Land is coming to Hollywood Studios, including the long rumored and wished for door coaster, which will be Disney’s first ever suspended coaster.
Josh D’Amaro made good on some of the Blue Sky ideas presented 2 years ago including announcing an all new Villains Land at Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World! And do I spy with my little eye a roller coaster?!
We got A LOT of amazing announcements out D23 this past weekend and additional details are already starting to emerge as Disney announces the new Cars Land will replace Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer Island and we finally know what is “beyond Big Thunder Mountain” in the way of Villains Land.
