A fresh take on a theme park favorite, the Blue Cheese Potato Twister at SeaWorld’s Seven Seas Food Festival impressed with its bold flavors and a unique twist.

Seven Seas Food Festival

SeaWorld Orlando’s Seven Seas Food Festival is a culinary voyage running until May 4, 2025. This event features over 190 global cuisine options across 25 international marketplaces, offering dishes inspired by countries such as Brazil, India, and Germany. Guests can also enjoy various beverages, including craft beers, wines, and cocktails. The festival hosts live concerts every Saturday, with additional performances on select Fridays and Sundays, featuring a diverse lineup of artists. Access to the festival is included with park admission. However, food and beverages are available at an additional cost. We tried the SeaWorld Orlando version of an area theme park favorite during our most recent visit.

Like the Ahi Tuna Poke Nachos at the Seven Seas Food Festival at SeaWorld Orlando, we tasted another familiar-sounding theme park food item. Universal Orlando fans of Mardi Gras and Halloween Horror Nights will be familiar with the Twisted Tater. While that classic savory festival item has become iconic at Universal Orlando, SeaWorld debuted a version for the Seven Seas Food Festival, the Blue Cheese Potato Twister.

We had this on the opening night of the event. We were shocked by how good it was on that occasion, especially compared to the Universal Orlando version.

The Blue Cheese Potato Twister can be found at the Beats and Bites Market. This isolated food and beverage location resides between Bayside Stadium and the Pipeline attraction. The menu description reads, “Topped with our Homemade Blue Cheese Fondue, Balsamic Vinaigrette, Chives.”

Our previous two experiences with this festival food item were in the evening. This time, we tried the Blue Cheese Potato Twister in the afternoon. Also, we intentionally visited on a slower day to make the reviews easier. Still, we did not plan well for the wind. Several items, like the Blue Cheese Potato Twister, come on very lightweight plates. These will blow away if guests are not careful on windy days.

On our most recent visit, we dealt with the wind issue. Also, the potato twister tasted more like potato chips, but in a good way. Nevertheless, the flavor added to the potato enhances the menu item. The merging of blue cheese with the vinaigrette works somehow with this festival item. As I thought when eating this, it makes a good item that almost all guests will enjoy.
