Universal Orlando Resort announced more ticket options for the brand-new Universal Epic Universe theme park. However, it is mostly more of the same.
Universal Epic Universe theme park at Universal Orlando Resort opens May 22, 2025. In preparation, Universal Orlando Resort has been selling tickets for this new theme park. In the initial stages, guests have been forced to buy multi-day tickets to Universal Orlando’s theme parks to access Universal Epic Universe. However, they only received one-day access to Universal Epic Universe with these multi-day purchases. Current Universal Orlando annual passholders have been able to buy one-day tickets. However, it is still a mystery when Universal Epic Universe will be part of an annual pass.
Universal Epic Universe
In recent weeks, Universal Orlando Resort announced many food and beverage options for Universal Epic Universe guests when that theme park opens. After the Super Bowl, Universal Orlando Resort dropped four teaser videos about the upcoming theme park and paid for an ad that played after the game was over. In addition, Universal’s Stella Nova Resort, locateed near Universal Epic Universe, opened to the public. However, no new Universal Epic Universe ticket information dropped…until Friday afternoon on February 21, 2025.

On the same day that the theme park lands were announced for Universal Kids Resort in Frisco, Texas, opening in 2026, Universal later in the day announced a few more ticket optiosn for Universal Epic Universe. Friday afternnoon and evenings are standard time to release information that you want to deemphasize. In that time frame, Universal announced more ticket options. However, they will not change things for most people.
According to the latest press release, “Florida residents can now purchase specially priced three-day tickets that include one day of access to Universal Epic Universe. Florida residents can also purchase Universal Epic Universe inclusive vacation packages like the “Create Your Own Vacation Package” or “The Wizarding World of Harry Potter Vacation Package” to bundle and save. Plus, active duty and retired U.S. military members with an active 2025 Military Freedom Pass can now purchase a 1-Park, 1-Day ticket to Universal Epic Universe as a Pass add-on.”
So, guests cannot buy a one-day ticket to Universal Epic Universe unless they are current passholders (or have the Military Freedom Pass) to Universal Orlando Resort. This means that non-passholders, even Florida residents, cannot buy one-day tickets. We still lack any information about other aspects of Universal Epic Universe, like park-to-park ticket options and express passes.
