Wizarding World of Harry Potter fans have a new snack to try. Butterbeer Goldfish snacks will hit grocery shelves soon.

Universal Orlando Resort visitors adore the taste of butterbeer. They buy massive quantities of hot, cold, and frozen varieties. They can buy it in ice cream form and as potted cream. With “Butterbeer” season coming up at Universal Orlando Resort, more butterbeer-inspired treats are sure to arrive at the theme parks.

However, the Goldfish company, known for its cute-shaped snacks, has partnered to create a Harry Potter-inspired snack. Witches, wizards, and muggles alike can buy Goldfish Butterbeer Flavored Grahams for a limited time at their local grocery store. These will “apparate” into stores this month

These Butterbeer Goldfish Harry Potter snacks are available in only one size, 6.1-ounce bags, with a suggested retail price tag of $3.69. At this point, we do not know how long the Goldfish Butterbeer Flavored Grahams will be in stores.

Harry Potter Goldfish Grahams: How Do They Taste?

The reporter from The Takeout said the following about trying these Harry Potter snacks: “Opening the bag and sticking my nose inside, the strong, and warm aroma of butterscotch filled my nostrils. It smelled more like the mustard-yellow hard Brach’s candy kind than the one you’d get at a chocolate shop, or even ones you make at home. To some, the smell may be a bit nauseating. But to me, as a fan of butterscotch, it was rather inviting.

To the touch, these sandy brown grahams were super dusty. They came in three shapes — standard smiling fish, a butterbeer barrel monogrammed with a “B,” and a standing owl that honors Harry’s furry friend Hedwig. “

Also, they stated that the Butterbeer Goldfish snacks had a great texture and crunch. They noted that the Goldfish Butterbeer Flavored Grahams flavor was quite nice. The butterscotch flavor has a low level of butterscotch. Like most Goldfish graham crackers, the reporter stated it “leaned towards a buttery vanilla profile, coating the typical solid taste of a Goldfish graham cracker.”

“The Harry Potter Butterbeer partnership is an exciting new chapter in our journey of creating unforgettable flavors and shapes for our Goldfish Grahams portfolio,” Mike Fanelli, the senior director at Goldfish, shared. “Following recent collaborations with cultural icons like Elf and Dunkin, we knew snackers were craving more sweet treats from everyone’s favorite fish-shaped snack. We can’t wait for Harry Potter fans and all snackers to try these delicious Goldfish Butterbeer flavored grahams.”

Fanelli said it was expertly crafted by the company’s “talented R&D team to get the unmistakable Butterbeer flavor and iconic Harry Potter shapes just right. Together with Warner Bros., the team fine-tuned the recipe over four rounds, testing a total of 15 different seasonings before landing the perfect one.” He added that while everyone will taste the butterscotch, more astute fans can also get a hint of brown butter, cinnamon, and even a “slight fruity note” in each bite.

“Goldfish wanted to connect with snackers who are entering new phases of adulthood but still want to keep their playful spirit alive,” Fanelli shared as to why the company wanted to make these treats now. “Together with Warner Bros., we noticed a significant overlap between Harry Potter and Goldfish fans over the years — mostly notably, a shared spirit of playfulness. Given these shared values, and with an uptick in snackers craving little sweet treats, we saw it as the perfect time to launch a magical snack that taps into nostalgia for fans who grew up enjoying Goldfish and watching Harry Potter.”
