We tried the Bananas Foster Beignets at SeaWorld Orlando’s Seven Seas Food Festival. See why this sticky, sauce-filled treat exceeded our expectations!

On the weekend that Luis Fonsi performed at SeaWorld Orlando’s Seven Seas Food Festival, we visited the theme park to revisit some festival food offerings. At SeaWorld Orlando, guests can experience a “culinary voyage” at the Festival, which runs on select dates through May 4. Guests can savor more than 190 internationally inspired-dishes while enjoying a star-studded lineup of live concerts.
The Seven Seas Food Festival has been enhanced this year with select Friday night performances for the first time ever. Also, the festival brings an all-new array of global flavors, from Ireland to Mexico, Germany to Asia, paired with SeaWorld’s award-winning attractions an animal presentations.

SeaWorld Orlando
On our most recent visit to SeaWorld Orlando, we checked out a few Seven Seas Food Festival items, one of which was the Bananas Foster Beignets. During our opening weekend visit to this festival, we found these beignets to be good. However, we would not rank them as excellent. We ordered these from the Gulf Coast Market at SeaWorld Orlando’s Seven Seas Food Festival. This food and beverage location is found near the Sesame Street area. In addition, it is located near the Mexico Market where guests can buy the Taco al Pastor.
On this Sunday afternoon, when we visited, we had to wait eleven minutes for our order after paying. Since the beignets are fried at the location, we understand some delays. However, we saw all the activity to prepare them. This led us to wonder what was taking so long. Sadly, we were not the only ones waiting for this item.
Guests receive about four of the “standard” beignets that we encounter at most food festivals at SeaWorld Orlando. However, they were prepared well with a crispy exterior and soft interior. These will not match up to the beignets served at Universal Orlando Resort or Walt Disney World Resort. Nevertheless, they do not intend to do so. The beignets serve as a medium for the sauce or toppings. This fits a common pattern at SeaWorld Orlando events. The Bananas Foster Beignets function as a fork and knife beignet. They use sauce instead of powdered sugar. Due to that, guests should prepare for their fingers to get very sticky if they fail to use a fork.

The online menu description for these beignets reads, “Beignets, Tossed in Sugar and topped with our famous Banana Fosters Sauce.” The printed in-person menu description indicates that the beignets will have a rum glaze. Without a sampler lanyard, these Bananas Foster Beignets cost $11.99 plus the five percent surcharge at SeaWorld Orlando. Like many festival food items at United Parks & Resorts theme parks, the value is low for most items unless you buy a sampler lanyard. If you buy a sampler lanyard, each items can cost as fice dollars each.
The Bananas Foster sauce stars with this theme park festival item. Sure, guests get two or three slices of a banana. Still, guests should order this for the sauce. While we acknowledge the “Bananas Foster” sauce comes straight from a package, it works! The SeaWorld Orlando boast about this sauce being famous stands up as credible.
We loved the Bananas Foster sauce. That should not be a surprise since we loved it for Mardi Gras at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, a sister theme park to SeaWorld Orlando. Of course, we have enjoyed it at SeaWorld events in the past as well.

Bananas Foster Beignets at the Seven Seas Food Festival
We tried this item during the Seven Seas Food Festival opening weekend at SeaWorld Orlando. We found these to be a good but not great item on that visit. In contrast, during the most recent visit, our Bananas Foster Beignets exceeded our expectations. We would rank them among the four best items at this year’s event. With so many items to choose from, we do not make that statement lightly. For guests looking for a unique sweet treat while at SeaWorld Orlando, this fits that craving!
SeaWorld Orlando offers many reasons for guests to visit. Expedition Odyssey is opening this year, and Baby Shark will make an extended visit from June 30 until September 2. For more theme park-related news and information, please visit MSM News.
