Halloween Horror Nights 2025 speculation is heating up! From “Scream” to “Terrifier” and a possible Fallout house, check out the latest HHN rumors here.

Halloween Horror Nights

To many people, March means springtime. However, it also implies speculation and rumor season for horror fans, especially for Halloween Horror Nights. In many years, the first official announcement for Halloween Horror Nights (HNN) in Orlando happens in late March. In fairness, in 2024, HHN fans did not receive announcements until later in the year.

Either way, we decided to be positive and expect some Halloween Horror Nights announcements soon. With that thought, what are the rumors or speculated houses for the 2025 season? We will start with the biggest rumor.

These are Rumors about Halloween Horror Nights!

To clarify, these qualify as rumors. Nothing counts as official until Universal Orlando says so. Still, a rumor that started many months ago would be a game-changer for Halloween Horror Nights in Orlando. The rumor we are referencing would change a night at HHN.

Based on some perspectives about building permits, the rumor said that the 2025 event would have 11 or maybe even 12 houses. Why is this significant? In recent years, Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Florida has offered guests ten houses.

Calling Halloween Horror Nights a jam-packed and crowded event would be an understatement. The addition of another haunted house or two would spread crowds out. Despite this concept being a good idea, we do not expect this to happen. We would love to be wrong!

Halloween Horror Nights House Rumors

In contrast to the 11 or 12 house rumor, many rumors about the 2025 HHN houses exist that are more believable at this stage. As usual, the intellectual property houses dominate the rumor mill. Once again, these are rumors. However, the Halloween Horror Nights rumors at this point in the year have historically shown credibility. So, what have we heard?

Blumhouse Factor

Halloween Horror Nights

Halloween Horror Nights experienced visitors have come to expect a Blumhouse property to be part of the event. In 2024, Blumhouse was featured in a scare zone in the San Francisco area of Universal Studios Florida. We expect a Blumhouse-themed house for the 2025 HHN. The question is what property.

Will it be “M3GAN” or “Five Nights at Freddy’s?” What about “Black Phone?” “M3GAN 2.0” and “Black Phone 2” movies are releasing in theatres in 2025. Will this cause Blumhouse to push Universal Orlando Resort to use those properties? Based on the connected people we have spoken with, it sounds like the intellectual properties with movies coming out will be skipped. That leaves “Five Nights at Freddy’s” the most likely 2025 Halloween Horror Nights house.

Universal Studios Japan’s Hami-Kuma Coming to Halloween Horror Nights?

Hami-Kuma, an icon of Halloween Horror Nights, may be coming to Hollywood and Orlando in 2025. While we have some doubts about this rumor, we have seen it posted for theme park news sites and HHN rumor social media groups.

According to Hallowed Out Horror, Universal has filed trademarks for the bear to appear in the North American parks. The trademarks would allow Hami-Kuma to appear in merchandise and become a costumed performer. Of course, that does not mean Universal will use this icon for 2025

A WWE House?

While this rumor keeps changing, anything is possible at Halloween Horror Nights. This rumor indicates that a Worldwide Wrestling Entertainment icon or icons will be featured in a Halloween Horror Nights house. Perhaps this property will work like musical artists have worked in HHN houses. Despite that, this rumor is losing momentum.

Will This Be the Year for “Terrifier” at Halloween Horror Night 2025?

Terrifier
“Terrifier” Movie Poster

Hardcore Halloween Horror Nights (HHN) fans have wanted to see Art the Clown at the event for many years. However, this sounds like the year,

For a few years, those reading the tea leaves about Halloween Horror Nights stated things like:

  • Art the Clown cannot come to HHN because Jack the Clown runs that place.
  • “Terrifier” movies are too gory for the current versions of Halloween Horror Nights.
  • Universal does not want to pay for that intellectual property.

Those statements may or may not have been true before. Either way, “Terrifier” looks to be descending for Halloween Horror Nights 2025.

Art the Clown

The “Terrifier” movie franchise functions as slasher-style horror.  This franchise also has comic books, novels, and video games. The “Terrifier” franchise mainly focuses on Sienna Shaw, a young woman destined to defeat the enigmatic Art the Clown, a demonic serial killer that inhabits the fictitious Miles County, New York. “The series also follows the Little Pale Girl, a sinister entity accompanying Art, and Victoria Heyes, a disfigured survivor struggling with her mental health, who the Little Pale Girl possesses, becoming Art’s accomplice.”

Three films have been made, and one more will be released in the future. Damien Leone, “Terrifier” creator stated that “The script for Terrifier 4 is under way and it is shaping up to be the most epic, horrifying, thrilling, emotional and satisfying conclusion to the Terrifier saga,” he writes on Instagram. “I’ve personally never been so excited to see one of my own scripts translate to the screen like this one.” He also added, “I will finally reveal Art’s origin in this entry.”

If Art the Clown becomes a prominent character in a Halloween Horror Nights house, many HHN fans will get one of their dream horror characters. Of course, there are some other dream horror properties.

“Scream” Finally at Halloween Horror Nights?

Speaking of dream properties for Halloween Horror Nights, “Scream” has been a long-desired property. According to informed sources, “Scream” has been planned for previous Halloween Horror Nights events, only for something to fall apart. Also, many informed Halloween Horror Nights fans still speak about the amazing Universal Creative magic that might have purged a house one year but left traces of “Scream” behind.

With complicated rights to the “Scream” movie franchise, this property coming to Halloween Horror Nights looked unlikely. However, the rumor of “Scream” coming to the 2025 event has grown intense in recent weeks. For example, according to HHN insider Legacy, a “Scream 5 & 6” house is rumored to be coming to Halloween Horror Nights this year.

HHN fans have heard this stuff before. Nevertheless, this might be the year.

Fallout

It sounds like Halloween Horror Nights will have another house based on a video game, Fallout, for 2025 in Orlando and Hollywood. The rumble of “The Last of Us” returning for 2025 gained momentum in late 2024 but died away in February 2025.

However, the light rumor of a Halloween Horror Nights house based on the video game Fallout grew into a full-fledged rumor for this year. The key question about this rumored video game-based house was,” Would it be based on the game or the streaming TV show?” This question was significant for “The Last of Us” in 2023. That eventually turned into the Halloween Horror Nights (HHN) houses on both coasts based on the video game. According to HHN insider Legacy, a “Fallout” house is rumored to be coming to Halloween Horror Nights Orlando and Hollywood for 2025.

Post-apocalyptic horror at Halloween Horror Nights has become almost as familiar as a Blumhouse HHN house or a Universal Classic Monsters HHN house. With Fallout being a video game concept based on post-apocalyptic events, we should see radiation-created monsters in this Halloween Horror Nights house. Beyond that, it is hard to speculate how Universal Orlando might use this intellectual property.

The “Fallout” streaming television series received positive reviews. Universal Orlando Resort’s creative team should be able to utilize some aspects of horror from that show. However, the show was pretty violent, which may or may not be an aspect of the Halloween Horror Night house.

Universal Classic Monsters

Halloween Horror Nights

Our last rumor thread to pull involves Universal Classic Monsters. Universal created the horror monster genre. They have bought into this with Dark Universe World opening at Universal Epic Universe in May. These classic characters have appeared at HHN for several years in a row.

Based on current speculation, this will be the first year in a while with no Universal Classic Monsters house. With an entire world at Universal Epic Universe opening this year, it makes a reasonable year to skip a house for Dracula and friends.

We expect some type of announcement about this year’s Halloween Horror Nights soon. However, with Universal Epic Universe opening using most of the promotional space, this could an interesting year with HHN announcements. For more theme park-related news and even rumors, please visit MSM News.
