The “Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away” parade arrives at Magic Kingdom this summer. The Disney webpage for the parade is running.

Disney Starlight Parade

Magic Kingdom will finally have a nighttime parade again starting this summer. The new parade, “Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away,” was first announced at D23 in Anaheim in August 2024. According to Walt Disney World, this new nighttime parade will use cutting-edge technology. The Magic Kingdom has been without a nighttime parade since 2016, when the “Main Street Electrical Parade” stopped happening.

Recently, a webpage for the new Magic Kingdom nighttime parade appeared. That brings guests one step closer to this new nighttime parade actually happening.

The Disney World website states that the new parade will make dreams come alive. The only tangible information the website gives about the parade reads like this: “Find a sweet spot under the stars to watch Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away—a shimmering processional inspired by the classic Main Street Electrical Parade. It’s a star-kissed constellation of Disney dreams, brought to life by the magic of the Blue Fairy.

Watch as enchanting moments unfold from favorite Disney and Pixar stories such as Moana, Peter Pan, Encanto, Frozen, Pinocchio and more. It all happens along the parade route—from Frontierland to Main Street, U.S.A.

Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away is scheduled to debut in summer 2025! Check back later for more details.”

Disney Starlight

Earlier this year, Walt Disney World provided more information about the Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away Parade. They stated: “As they prepare this all-new nighttime parade for its debut this summer, the team is drawing inspiration from not only the rich history of nighttime parades at Magic Kingdom (trust me fellow parade lovers, there are more than a few easter eggs), but also some of Walt Disney Animation Studios’ earliest animated features.”

Disney Parks Blog also stated the following about the parade: “This reverence for the past will be on full display in the parade’s recently revealed princess unit, which pays homage to Disney Legend and artist Mary Blair’s original concept artwork for Disney Animation’s “Cinderella.” Anchored by a gleaming fountain of light that overflows to illuminate a cosmic ballroom, the float is just one piece of the constellation of classic and contemporary stories that make up this new parade. Moments from Disney Animation’s “Moana,” “Peter Pan,” “Frozen,” “Encanto” and more will unfold on a bed of starlight as the cavalcade floods Main Street, U.S.A. with some of your favorite tales.”

With the parade webpage online, we expect more information about the new parade next month. Also, for more theme park-related news, please visit MSM News.
